Jungian Type Index

The Jungian Type Index or JTI ( Jungian Type Indicator ) is an alternative to MBTI. He was released in 2001 Optimas and developed over a period of 10 years by the Norwegian psychologist Thor Ødegård and Hallvard E. Ringstad. The JTI has been developed to determine according to the theory of Carl Gustav Jung preferences.

Classification

  • I to E - introversion to extraversion
  • N to S - Intuition to Sensing
  • F to T - Feeling to Thinking
  • J to P - Judging to Perceiving

Differences

The sample questions and the methods of JTI distinguish itself from the competition MBTI. Thus, for example, word pairs are eliminated, which can cause problems with translations.

Dissemination

In Denmark, JTI has the MBTI almost completely replaced. There, since 2004, no MBTI accreditations longer occur. This is, inter alia, at lower costs for accreditation at JTI.

Outside Scandinavia, the JTI is relatively unknown.
