Junichi Inamoto (Japanese稲 本 润 一Inamoto Jun'ichi; born September 18, 1979 in Osaka ) is a Japanese football player.

The midfielder Junichi Inamoto began his professional career in 1996 at Gamba Osaka. 2001, a year before the Football World Cup in Germany, he moved to DM 12 million (approximately € 6 million) in the British Premier League to Arsenal. He was after a short time before to Bolton Wanderers Akinori Nishizawa exchanged the second Japanese player in the English top league.

At Arsenal, however, he could not prevail. With the Football World Cup 2002 he scored the other hand, within the Japanese national team to the striking players. After the World Cup Inamoto moved to FC Fulham.

From 2004 he was at West Bromwich Albion under contract, but initially loaned him for a year at Cardiff City. With the national team, he qualified for the FIFA World Cup 2006 in Germany. In the summer of 2006 he was transferred for a fee of 300,000 euros to the Turkish first division side Galatasaray. There he signed a one year contract with an option for another year. He was the first Japanese footballer in Turkey.

From 2007 to 2009 he played for Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga. For the season 2009/10 he moved to Rennes in the French Ligue 1
