Jun’ichi Kakizaki

Jun'ichi Kakizaki (Japanese柿 崎 顺 一, Jun'ichi Kakizaki; born January 4, 1971 in Chikuma ) is a Japanese installation artist who works primarily with flowers and other natural materials. He has taught design at the Agricultural University in Nagano.

Life

Junichi Kakizaki grew up surrounded by flowers, as his parents owned a flower shop. He received both an artistic education and training in horticulture.

Kakizaki attended Yoyogi Formative Art School in Tokyo. 1990 to 1993 he studied at The Botanical College of Technological Horticulture, Horticultural science part, Floral Art & Design course ( flower arranging & Gardening ).

Since 2000 he has taught design at the Agricultural University in Nagano.
