Junkers Ju 252

The Ju 252 was a three -engine passenger / cargo aircraft of the German manufacturer Junkers aircraft and engine plants; the first flight took place on June 5, 1942. This machine, with its three motors in low ceiling design was the designated successor of Junkers Ju 52/3m, the passenger capacity was 32 persons. Overall, only 15 units were built. Because too many vital war materials were used, one broke off this project and developed the Junkers Ju 352

History

As one of the first aircraft of its time, a pressurized cabin for altitudes up to 8000 m has been provided for the Ju 252 from the outset. Originally on the unbuilt design Junkers EF 77 -based design was enlarged after the prototype phase again. Pursuant to the requirements of the war a greater transport capacity was required. This led to extensive redesigns that have been set forth in part in the Letov works in Prague. 1940, the prototype Junkers was ordered. The first three machines Ju 252 V1 -V3 were designated as variant A -0. Interestingly, all of these aircraft were built as prototype aircraft, a real serial production has not begun.

Since the Junkers Ju 52/3m their purpose at this time fulfilled quite well, the project was pushed forward with little enthusiasm. After the flight tests, only 25 pieces of this type have been commissioned by the RLM, who possessed a loading ramp. Later 252 A-1 ( V4 -V15 ), this order was cut from said reasons to twelve aircraft Ju series.
