Junko Iwao

Junko Iwao (Japanese岩 男 润 子, Iwao Junko, born February 18, 1970 in Beppu ) is a Japanese voice actress ( seiyū ) and singer.

Biography

As a child she was enthusiastic about the group Akai Tori and Yumi Matsutoya and wanted to be a singer. That's why she left at age 13 her hometown and went to Tokyo. As a young Iwao (いわお 潤, Iwao June) they replaced Yumiko Itaya in the idol group Saint Four. After the dissolution of the group in 1985, she sang children's songs and thought to retire from the entertainment industry. In 1994 she made ​​her debut as a voice actress in the anime Montana Jones. Prominence as a voice she gained through roles in Key - The Metal Idol, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Mojakō, Card Captor Sakura and Perfect Blue.
