Juno Award

The Juno Awards are presented annually by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences ( CARAS ) to Canadian musicians. The Junos emerged in 1970 from the Gold Leaf Awards, which were organized by RPM magazine. The CARAS was founded in 1975 to introduce the Juno program.

The awards recognize artistic and technical excellence in all styles of Canadian music. New members of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame will be officially presented at the awards ceremony.

Venues

Until 1991, the Juno Awards were held exclusively in Toronto. Since then, the events will be held alternately in major cities.
