Junto (club)

Junto (also: leather apron club ) is a self-education, was established in 1727 by Benjamin Franklin Club and 12 of his friends. They met every Friday evening and set there on the topics of morality, politics and physics questions, which were then discussed in the group. Every three months, each had to give a lecture to a private manuscript or another favorite topic.

The union was 40 years and was the origin of the American Philosophical Society.
