Jürgen Wittmann
Jürgen Wittmann ( born August 14, 1966 in Neustadt an der Donau ) is a former German football goalkeeper. He played in the Bundesliga Fortuna Dusseldorf and SpVgg Unterhaching. He is currently working on the coaching staff of the TSV 1860 München.
Career
In his youth he played with his hometown club TSV Neustadt / Donau and joined in 1982 the youth of the 1st FC Nuremberg. As a 18 -year-old in 1984, he moved from there to his early MTV Ingolstadt Bavaria division and went through with this descent and re- ascent.
In 1989, he accepted an offer of Fortuna Dusseldorf, where in the Bundesliga he made his professional debut in the 1989/90 season. He did not come at the Fortuna but the role of the substitute goalkeeper out. After three years, where Wittmann came on 10 Bundesliga appearances, the Fortunen finally rose from the Table of the Bundesliga and he left the club.
After that, his next stops were the FC Augsburg and again the MTV Ingolstadt. In 1994, he finally came to the third division SpVgg Unterhaching, where he was goalkeeper. In the first year he went to the club on the 2nd Bundesliga. For the season 1999 /00 he went with Unterhaching on to the Bundesliga and was there until an injury on matchday 27 goalkeeper. After he was ousted by Gerhard Tremmel. In the following season he played and reduced to two more Bundesliga games.
After the descent of the Unterhachinger for which he completed 172 league games in seven years, he played from 2001 still two seasons for the 2nd team of TSV 1860 Munich in the Bavarian League. Since 2003 he works in 1860 as goalkeeping coach. By 2007, he coached the U23 goalkeeper, since he belongs to the coaching staff for the first team at. On 12 November 2007 he sat in the second league match against Borussia Moenchengladbach because of personnel problems as a substitute goalkeeper on the bench but did not play.
In the summer of 2013 was Wittmann " transition coordinator " during 1860, he now cares about individualized nurturing the talents of the Munich lions.
