Jüri Pihl

Jüri Pihl ​​( born March 17, 1954 in Kuressaare ) is an Estonian politician. He was from April 2007 to May 2009 Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Estonia.

Life and Politics

Jüri Pihl ​​studied from 1977 to 1982 Law at the University of Tartu. As early as 1975 he was at the police station of the Estonian Soviet Socialist Republic busy: 1975-1986 as Detective Inspector, 1986-1988 of a department head at the Tallinn Criminal Investigation from 1988 to 1990 as head of the militia of Võru from 1990 to 1991 as Head of Judicial Police of Tallinn.
