Jursitzky

Jursitzky is the name of an old Polish noble family. 1404 Watzlaw Jursitzky was entered in the Krakow Adelsmatrikel under the arms Topór.

Origin

The headquarters was George village, a village in the municipality Skawina in Wielkopolska. The family took after their possessions Jurczyce, the name Jurczycki to. How many Polish noble families are impoverished by the Counts of Jursitz in the 17th century. The headquarters in George village was sold in 1795 to the Haller family. On the Polish General Józef Haller Jurczyce of Hallenburg was born.
