Jurupa Valley is a city in Riverside County in the U.S. state of California. 2011 Jurupa Valley was formed by the merger of five previous Census-designated places.

Geography

Jurupa Valley covers an area of ​​112.7 km ², of which 112.1 km ² land and 0.6 km ² water surface are. The population was estimated 94 235 2011; reliable data can not be determined because the city did not yet exist at the time of the 2010 Census.

History

Jurupa Valley was founded on July 1, 2011 through the merger of five previous Census-designated places, namely Glen Avon, Mira Loma, Pedley, Rubidoux and Sunnyslope. On 8 March 2011 the population had previously decided by a voting share of 54.05 percent for the merger.

As early as 1992 there had been thoughts of founding the city, but the citizens voted against both this variant as well as to explain only Mira Loma to their own city.

In September 2013 it was announced that Jurupa Valley may want to return his city right again. Finally, a city in Riverside County was disbanded in 1972.
