Jury

As a juror, in the Austrian chancellery also sworn (from late Middle High German gesworne = one who has sworn under oath and is therefore obliged ) is defined as:

• In an outdated meaning a juror on a jury
• A lay judge, the case of serious crimes and political offenses initially with seven other jurors on the question of guilt and then together with the three professional judges ( the " Court of Assizes " ) decides on the sentence in Austria
