Justin Falk

Justin Falk ( born October 11, 1988 in Snowflake, Manitoba ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since June 2013 with the New York Rangers in the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Justin Falk began his career as a hockey player with the Swan Valley Stampeders for which he was in season 2004/ 05 initially active in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League. Opposite end of the season he moved to the Calgary Hitmen of the Canadian top junior Western Hockey League. There he also began the following season, before the defender after only five games moved to the Spokane Chiefs in the WHL. With Spokane he won in the 2007/ 08 season the first Ed Chynoweth Cup, the WHL championship and then the Memorial Cup. Following the Memorial Cup he was voted into the All-Star Team of the tournament.

In the NHL Entry Draft 2007 Falk was selected by the Minnesota Wild. For the Farm Team Houston Aeros he played from 2008 to 2011 mainly in the American Hockey League. For the Minnesota Wild even he was in the 2009/10 season his debut in the National Hockey League. In the season 2011/12, the Canadian was a regular player in the NHL team the Minnesota Wild for the first time.

In June 2013 he was transferred in exchange for Benn Ferriero and a sixth- round vote in the NHL Entry Draft in 2014 to the New York Rangers.
