Justin Faulk

Justin Faulk (* March 20, 1992 in South St. Paul, Minnesota ) is an American professional ice hockey player standing since 2011 with the Carolina Hurricanes in the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Justin Faulk began his career as a hockey player with the U.S. National Team Development Program, for which he American Hockey League and United States Hockey League was active from 2008 to 2010 in the junior leagues North. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2010 in the second round than a total of 37 players from the Carolina Hurricanes. First, however, he attended for one year the University of Minnesota Duluth, for their hockey team he played in parallel in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. With his university team the defender won the 2011 NCAA Championship. He was elected to the All- Rookie team and the third All-Star team of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. Towards the end of the 2010/11 season he made his debut in professional hockey for Carolina Farm Team Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League. In the playoffs, he prepared in 13 games before two goals.

In the season 2011/12 Faulk could earn a regular place in the Carolina Hurricanes in the National Hockey League. In his rookie year he scored in 66 games 22 points scorer, eight gates. In parallel, he ran into another twelve games for the Charlotte Checkers in the AHL.

Internationally

For the U.S., Faulk took part in the junior level at the Under-18 Junior World Cup in 2010 and the U20 World Youth Championship 2011. At the 2010 U18 World Cup he won with his team the gold, at the 2011 U20 World Championships bronze medal. In the senior level, he stood for the first time at the 2012 World Championships in the squad of his country. At the World Championships in 2013 in Stockholm and Helsinki, he was again part of the national team and won the bronze medal with this.
