Justin Frankel

Justin Frankel (born 1978 in Sedona, Arizona) is one of the developers of Winamp and founder of Nullsoft and the inventor of the P2P network, Gnutella.

Frankel founded the company Nullsoft, to market its programs Winamp and Shoutcast. 1999 AOL bought Nullsoft for 100 million U.S. dollars. In 2004, Frankel left his company after the file-sharing software products Gnutella and Waste had published without the consent of AOL. Both times were withdrawn the publications of the products of AOL. After the departure from Nullsoft he founded in the same year his new company Cockos, known especially for the development of the software sequencer REAPER.
