Justin Hamilton (basketball, born 1990)

Justin Hamilton ( born April 1, 1990 in Newport Beach, California) is an American professional basketball player who is currently with the Miami Heat in the NBA under contract.

Early years

Hamilton was born on 1 April 1990 in Newport Beach, the son of an American football player and a volleyball player. Hamilton, however, wanted to try a new one. Still, he only started in high school to play basketball, before he went skateboarding and snowboarding.

Career

College

In 2008 he got the chance to play for the Iowa State University. He had a moderate first season, he was able to achieve only 4.2 points per game, but he was also only about 13 minutes of playing time. His litter box rate in this season at 57 %. The next season he got about eight more minutes of playing time per game, his field throw percentage and points per match he was able to increase. 2010 season, he moved however to Louisiana State University. He had to take a year off, however, resulted in his senior year, his team, they had the most points ( 12.9 ), most rebounds (7.2 ), most blocks (1.3 ) per game and was also in other statistics one of the best players of his team. after the season he signed up for the NBA Draft.

NBA

In the 2012 NBA Draft on June 28, 2012, he was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers, but still traded in the same night for the Miami Heat team.

Europe

He signed for the 2012/13 season with Cibona Zagreb and immediately became Croatian Supercup winner in 2012.
