Justin Papineau

Justin Papineau ( born January 15, 1980 in Ottawa, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who was most recently at the Adler Mannheim in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga under contract.

Career

Justin Papineau began his career as a hockey player for the Belleville Bulls, for whom he played from 1996 to 2000 a total of four years in the Canadian Junior Football League OHL. During this time he was first selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the NHL Entry Draft in 1998 in the second round than a total of 46 players. However, since they did not receive him in the following two seasons under contract and he was in the OHL still active for Belleville, the attacker could be selected again in 2000 after a two-year period in the NHL Entry Draft. The St. Louis Blues finally drafteten him in the third round as the 75th player.

Before the season 2000/ 01 Papineau was included in the roster of Worcester IceCats of the American Hockey League ( AHL ), the farm team of the blues.
