Jutta Brückner

Jutta Brückner (born 25 June 1941 in Dusseldorf ) is a German film director and screenwriter.

Life

Jutta Brückner studied political science, history and philosophy. Her first directing and screenplay works were created in the early 1970s. In 1976 she co-authored by Volker Schlöndorff for his film The coup de grace. In 1981 she was a jury member for the competition at the Berlinale 1981. 1986 to 2006 she was a professor at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin. Since 1993 she is a member of the Akademie der Künste, Berlin. From 2003 to 2009 she was Deputy Director of the section of film and media arts, since 2009 the director.
