Jutta Langenau

Jutta Langenau, born Grossmann ( born October 10, 1933, Erfurt, † July 9, 1982 ibid ) was a German swimming athlete.

The athlete trained at SV Empor Erfurt, among others, in the 50 - m- basin of the Northern bath Erfurt. In 1954, she was in Turin in world record time of 1:16,6 min European champion over 100 m butterfly and overtook the first European Champion title for the GDR. She was also 1949-1959 East zones 14 times or GDR champion and set 43 national records.

From 1956 to 1978 she worked as a trainer at the Children's and Youth Sports School of Erfurt and after the birth of her third child as a sports teacher in a general education polytechnic high school in Erfurt.

From 1954 to 1958, she represented the FDJ in the People's Chamber of the GDR
