Juuso Pykälistö

Juuso Pykälistö ( born May 21, 1975 in Padasjoki ) is a Finnish rally driver. He rode from 1996 to 2005 in the World Rally Championship.

Career

Pykälistö began his motor racing career in Enduro and moved in 1994 to the rallying. In 1996, he took with an Opel Astra GSi 16V in the Rally Finland for the first time in the World Rally Championship ( WRC) in part. In 1997 he moved to Mitsubishi and participated in various rallies in the WRC. During this time Pykälistö was three times runner up in the Group N Finnish Rally Championship ( 1996, 1998 and 2000) and was also runner-up in 2000 the group N of the Swedish Rally Championship.

2001, the Finn moved first to Subaru and even during the season to Toyota. 2002 won Pykälistö in a Toyota Corolla WRC Rally Arctic. In the following years, he moved several times the cars and started to Peugeot, Mitsubishi, Toyota, Citroen, Ford and Subaru. In 2005 he succeeded with a Ford Focus WRC again the rally Arctic to decide for himself and he scored in a Citroën Xsara WRC in eighth place in the Rally of Italy 's first and so far only point in the WRC.

Pykälistö, who had competed in 25 rallies in the WRC, has been launched since 2006 to no more Rally WRC.
