Juuso Riksman

Juuso Riksman ( born April 1, 1977 in Helsinki) is a Finnish professional ice hockey goaltender who stands since May 2013 in Ässät Pori in the SM- liiga under contract.

Career

Juuso Riksman began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of HIFK Helsinki for the U20 Junior to 1998 he was active from 1994 in the top Finnish league this age group. Then he gave during the season 1997/98, made ​​his professional debut for Hermes Kokkola from the second class I divisioona. After one and a half years at Hermes, the goalkeeper joined the 1999/2000 season of the Swedish Kiruna IF from the third-tier Division 1, with whom he instantly promoted to the second division, the Allsvenskan, reached. After another year at Hermes in the new Finnish second division, the Mestis, he returned for the season 2001/ 02 back to HIFK Helsinki, for which he in his rookie year in the SM- liiga in 21 games a Gegentorschnitt of 2.50 and a catch quota of 91.2 percent had. From 2002 to 2004 Riksman stood at MODO Hockey Örnsköldsvik in the Swedish Elitserien between the posts. The 2004/05 season he began the HC Alleghe in the Italian Serie A1, but returned mid-season return to Finland, where he was awarded a contract in the SM- liiga at Ilves Tampere. The 2007/08 season was a turbulent for Riksman. He first began this with the St. Louis Blues, for their farm team, the Peoria Rivermen, he admitted in the American Hockey League in his debut against the Rockford IceHogs in less than eight minutes two goals. Thereupon Riksman refused to continue to play for Peoria and he moved to the Swedish Elitserien participants Färjestad BK, where he was able to convince again. For this reason, he received a contract until the end of season when top Russian club Lokomotiv Yaroslavl of the Super League. The season 2008/ 09 was for Riksman the personal best. During his 45 missions in the main round he allowed only 1.76 goals per game and could be distinguished with a catch rate of 94.3 percent, which was the best catch rate of all goalkeepers in the SM- liiga simultaneously. For his good services he received at the end of the season, several major trophies. For the second time in his career, he received the Urpo - Ylönen - Tropähe as the best goalkeeper in the SM- liiga, the Lasse Oksanen trophy - as the best player of the Main Round and the Kultainen kypärä as the best player of the season. In addition, he was also elected for the second time in his career in the All-Star team.

After another year with Jokerit, Riksman was for season 2010/11 committed by his hometown club HIFK Helsinki, with whom he participated in the European Trophy before the start of the SM - liiga game time. For HIFK, he was first team regular in the SM- liiga, but also came in second-rate Mestis for Kiekko -Vantaa used. After the commitment of Dennis Endraß Riksman came only as a substitute goalkeeper used and completed in the summer of 2012 a trial at Atlant Mytischtschi. Internationally
