Juvencus

Juvencus is the author of at least two Christian epics in hexameters. The one Ordo sacramentorum is lost. Only the work entitled evangeliorum libri quattuor ( " Four books of the Gospels " ) is obtained. This epic is a Gospel Harmony in a total of about 2400 hexameters, which is mainly based on the Gospel of Matthew, also in portions of the Gospels of Luke and John. Juvencus is next Commodian ( 270 ) became the first known Christian poet.
