Jython

Jython (formerly JPython ) is a pure Java implementation of the Python programming language and thus allows you to run Python programs on any Java platform. A corollary is that all Java libraries imported in Python programs and can be used dynamically. Jython provides compared to CPython unrestricted multithreading.

Jython also works well as a scripting language in Java development, but is conceptually more geared to a complete Python implementation than on good integration into the Java world.
