“K” Line

Kawasaki Kisen K. K. (Japanese川 崎 汽船 株式会社, Kawasaki kisen kabushiki - gaisha ), internationally known as " K" Line, partly as CCC, is a Japanese shipping company with headquarters in Tokyo. The company is among the world 's ten largest shipping companies and in addition to conventional cargo ships, container ships, oil and gas tankers, ro-ro and bulk carriers.

History

K- Line was founded through the merger of three companies, Kawasaki Kisen, Kawasaki Zosen and Kokusai Kisen under central management by Kojiro Matsukata and included 1919-1944 a fleet of approximately 40 to 50 units, primarily in the trades Atlantic, North - and South America, Africa, Mediterranean and Baltic Sea were used. 1926 K-Line by Lloyds than three tenth-largest shipping company in the world behind the Japanese NYK Line but before the Japanese also OSK Line out.
