K-Tino

K- Tino, formerly Catino, ( born October 12, 1966 in Yaoundé, Cameroon; actually Catherine EDOA Ngoa ) is a Cameroonian singer and dancer and a popular, but controversial, representative of the Bikutsi.

Life

K- Tino grew up in Nkolndongo district. Her father died early.

She became famous in the 1990s for the first time to a wider audience. Among other things, they are also called " femme du peuple ", "mama bonheur ", "mama la joie " and " la force de la vie et de la musique camerounaise ". Her dance style is a very expressive shoulder and Hüfttanz, which is sometimes referred to by critics as excessive and obscene. Likewise, trade their lyrics explitziten topics. As to the allegation that she was vulgar, responds K- Tino: " Dire que ma musique est obscene, c'est dire que la langue est Ewondo Obscene " ( To say my music is obscene, is as if you say that Ewondo language was obscene ).

K- Tino committed to the fight against AIDS. Her song Condom, c'est bon is a step towards these. As she says herself, she was mother of many children, whose exact number it does not specify. They have adopted many of their children.
