K. Eric Drexler
Kim Eric Drexler ( born April 25, 1955 in Oakland, California ) is a pioneer and visionary of molecular nanotechnology and author.
He made his statements at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, his Ph.D. ( Doctor ) was the first in molecular nanotechnology. He founded the Foresight Institute. Drexler coined the term " nanomachine " (also called nanobot ) and designed the idea of assemblers. The term " gray slime " was coined by Drexler.
Originally, he began to study nanometer - thin metal layers for the construction of solar panels.
2006 Drexler married Rosa Wang, a former investment banker who now works for Ashoka.
