K. Racing Waregem

Royal Racing Waregem, also known by the abbreviations KRC Waregem or K. Racing Waregem is a Belgian football club from the town of Waregem, West Flanders.

History

KRC Waregem was founded in 1941 as Racing Kleithoek, but changed its name in 1943 in Racing Waregem than one in 1943 under the Stamnummer 3302 joined the Belgian Football Association.

In 1944 the club took part in official competitions and played in the Vierde Provinciale, the lowest class. Here, after 1961, the championship was possible to commute in the years between the various Regional levels.

After allowing the 50-year anniversary get the royal attribute, and since then transmits the current name, it took until 1997 before the first time qualifying for the Vierde Class / Division 4 succeeded, from which one had to go back, however, after just one season. After 2001, the Regional Championship managed to returned and immediately took second place. However, it took until 2004 before we got to the third tier. After only two years there, the club managed to rise in 2006 with the victory in the promotion round. Since then, the club plays second-rate.
