Kaarle McCulloch

Kaarle McCulloch ( born January 20, 1988 in Campbell Town) is an Australian track cyclist.

Since childhood Kaarle McCulloch was a sports fan; at first she was active in athletics. When she was 14, her family moved to Sydney, because there were the sports facilities for them and their better siblings. Kaarle McCulloch attended the " Endeavour Sports High School " and was successful as a middle distance runner. When she was not included in the national squad, she was looking for a new challenge as a triathlete, discovered her joy of cycling, and finally saddled on track cycling has to offer.

2006 Kaarle McCulloch two-time Australian junior champion in sprint and 500m time trial, also second in the team sprint and third in the Keirin. Since then, she was able to win more national titles and podium places at national championships and World Cup races in various short-term events on the track. In 2007, she won with Kerrie Meares in the team sprint at the Oceania Championships.

Together with Anna Meares Kaarle McCulloch was at the Track World Championships 2009 in Pruszkow, at the Track World Championships 2010 at the Danish Ballerup and at the World Championships in Apeldoorn World Champion in the team sprint. At the Championships in Denmark, they also set a world record in the team sprint (500m) over 32.923 s together with Meares. At the 2010 Commonwealth Games she won the gold medal in the team sprint and the silver medal in the sprint and time trial. In early February 2011, she was Australian champion in the team sprint, together with Cassandra Kell. In the UCI Track World Championships 2012 in Melbourne she won along with Meares the silver medal in the team sprint.
