Kabarole District

Kabarole is a district in the west of Uganda with 359,180 inhabitants. Its capital is Fort Portal.

Some of the ethnic groups in the district are the Bakiga and the Batooro around the capital. The 1993 cultural revived Kingdom Toro has its center in Fort Portal. South of the capital are also Karambi Tombs of the kings of Toro, whose current successor since 1995 is Rukidi IV.

Before separation into separate districts were also Kamwenge and Kyenjojo to Kabarole.
