Kabinda

Cabinda is a city in the province of Kasai - Oriental, Democratic Republic of Congo with 192 364 inhabitants. It is the capital of the district of Cabinda.

History

During the Second Congo War, fighting between militant groups from the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda took place in Cabinda. However, the rebels from Rwanda surrounded the city for two years, they could not take because of the resistance of the Congolese government troops.
