The Kabompo is a tributary of the Zambezi in the north-western province of Zambia.

It rises about 100 kilometers south-west of Solwezi, makes numerous tributaries from the plateau to the west of this city, flows through the West Lunga National Park and flows a few kilometers north of Lukulu in the Zambezi. The river is navigable in its lower regions. It crosses a very sparsely populated area. There is a vast forest belt on its upper and middle reaches.
