Kaboré Tambi National Park

The National Park Kaboré - Tambi (French parc national Kaboré - Tambi ) is located near the city Pô a nature reserve ( IUCN category II) in southern Burkina Faso, Ouagadougou and the Ghanaian border. It follows the course of Nazinon. Founded in 1976 as Pô National Park ( Parc national de Pô ), the park was later renamed after a 1991 killed there gamekeeper. A little further south is another nature reserve, the Ranch de Nazinga.

The park covers 1555 km ² and is located at 200 to 400 m above sea level. The annual rainfall is 600 to 800 mm.

The vegetation consists of typical Sudanese savannas, but also gallery forests and Schwemmflächen of Nazinon. It come from lions, elephants, buffalo, warthogs, baboons, numerous antelope species and many birds.
