Kadir Nurman

Kadir Nurman ( born 1933 in Anatolia, † October 24, 2013 in Berlin) was a Turkish restaurateur, who, according to the Turkish doner club manufacturers in Europe ( ATDID ) is considered the inventor of the doner kebab in Germany.

Nurman comes from Anatolia and grew up in Istanbul. He came in 1960 at the age of 26 years as a skilled businessman to Stuttgart. In 1966 he moved to West Berlin and worked as a mechanic for printing presses. In 1972 Nurman to the Berlin Zoologischer Garten station have sold the first kebab.
