Kaeng Hang Maeo District

Amphoe Kaeng Hang Maeo ( Thai: อำเภอ แก่ง หาง แมว ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the northwestern province of Chanthaburi. The Chanthaburi province is located in the eastern region of central Thailand.

Geography

The neighboring Amphoe are clockwise from east of the Amphoe Soi Dao, Khao Khitchakut, Tha Mai and Na Yai Am the province of Chanthaburi, Amphoe Klaeng and Amphoe Khao Chamao Rayong Province, Amphoe Bo Thong province of Chonburi, Amphoe Tha Takiap the province of Chachoengsao and Amphoe Wang Sombun the province of Sa Kaeo.

History

Kaeng Hang Maeo was on 1 April 1990 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by five Tambon were separated from Amphoe Tha Mai. On September 8, 1992 Kaeng Hang Maeo got the full Amphoe status.

Management

Ko Chan is divided into five subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 62 villages ( Muban ). There are no areas with city status ( thesaban ) in the district, but there are five Tambon Administration Organizations ( " Tambon Administrative Organizations" - TAO, Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ).
