Kaeng Khoi District

Amphoe Kaeng Khoi ( Thai: อำเภอ แก่งคอย ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the northeastern province of Saraburi. Saraburi is located in the central region of Thailand, Amphoe Kaeng Khoi around 10 km north of the provincial capital of Saraburi.

Geography

By Amphoe Kaeng Khoi lead the road No. 2 ( Saraburi - Nong Khai ) and the railway line from Bangkok to the northeast of the country, therefore it is also called "Gateway to Isaan '.

Economic importance and

In Kaeng Khoi, a strong 1,600 MW combined cycle power plant is built, which will be operational in 2007. History

The county Kaeng Khoi in 1827 and set up called Kaeng Khoi Khwaeng, the administration building was in Ban Tan Diao. 1897 Khwaeng was converted into a Amphoe, and then the administration building was moved from the banks of the Pasak River to the nearby railway Kaeng Khoi in 1915.
