Kaeng Khro District
Amphoe Kaeng Khro ( Thai: อำเภอ แก้ง ค ร้ อ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the east of the province of Chaiyaphum. The Chaiyaphum Province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the Isaan.
Geography
The neighboring districts are clockwise starting from the north: the Amphoe Phu khiao and Ban Thaen in the province of Chaiyaphum, Amphoe Mancha Khiri, and Khok the Pho Chai in the province of Khon Kaen as well as Amphoe Khon Sawan which, Mueang Chaiyaphum and Kaset Sombun turn in Chaiyaphum.
History
The area of present-day Kaeng Khro originally belonged to the Amphoe Phu khiao. On August 13, 1959 Kaeng Khro was himself promoted to Amphoe.
Management
Amphoe Kaeng Khro is divided into ten municipalities ( tambon) divided, in turn, from 126 villages ( Muban ) exist.
There are also four small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:
- Kaeng Khro ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล แก้ง ค ร้ อ ) consists of parts of tambon Chong Sam Mo and Nong Phai,
- Na Nong Thum ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นา หนอง ทุ่ม ) consists of parts of the tambon Na Nong Thum,
- Nong Sang ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนอง สังข์ ) consists of the whole tambon Nong Sang,
- Nong Kham ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนอง ขาม ) consists of the whole tambon Nong Kham.
In addition, there are eight " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
