Kaeso

Kaeso (also Caeso ) is a rare Roman first name. Its abbreviation is K. The name is probably of Etruscan origin; in ancient times it was ( "cut" from the Greek καίω ) with " born by cesarean section " played. Theodor Mommsen provides another explanation: Since the first name only appeared in the patrician gentes of the Fabians and Quinctier ( and rarely also in the Aciliern and Duiliern ), who first presented the priesthood of luperci, he is the ritual "beating" (Latin caedere ) characterize the Luperkalienfest.
