Kaffir (racial term)

Kaffirs is an Arab from the kaafir ( disbeliever = ) -derived name, the first Muslims attached any two non-Muslim peoples, namely the Nuristani ( Kafirs ) in Central Asia and the Xhosa in Southern Africa.

Term use

The name was also used for the Christians in use. The European colonists and immigrants used it initially for the Xhosa. Later he completed a further Bantu peoples.
