Kafr el-Sheikh

Kafr al- Sheikh (Arabic كفر الشيخ Kafr al- Sheikh, Kafr al - Sayḩ DMG ) is the capital of the eponymous province in Egypt and is centrally located in the Nile Delta. The city is located 134 km north of Cairo, and has a population of 147 380 inhabitants ( 2006).
Four kilometers south of the city is the place Sacha, in its place was once the ancient Xois.
