Kahle Klippe

The Bald cliff is a rock formation in the Upper Harz, on the western slope of the lump above the valley of the plug in Saxony- Anhalt.

It lies about halfway between the railway crossing Hirtenweg and Ecker to 1011.5 m above sea level. NN. The cliff is not visible from the Brocken summit. The best views can be enjoyed from the direction of Lower Saxony peat house. As the cliff is located in the core zone of the national park Harz, they may be consulted only with permission from the National Park Service. It is one of the most difficult -to-reach cliffs in the Upper Harz. An old forest path leads past in about 100 m distance from the cliff.

Northwest of the Bald cliff still more inaccessible fire cliff lies (about 920 m above sea level. NN ).
