Kai Eide

Kai Eide ( born February 28, 1949 in Sarpsborg ) is a Norwegian diplomat. From 2008 to 2010 he was Head of the Assistance Mission in Afghanistan ( UNAMA ), the United Nations.

From 1998 to 2002 he was Ambassador of Norway to the CSCE. In 1999, he was Chairman of the Standing Council of the CSCE. After that, he was until 2006, the Permanent Representative of his country to NATO. He is one of the authors of the Mitchell Report.
