Kaiser Tower (Wernigerode)

The Emperor's Tower is an observation tower on the 478 m high mountain Poor people in Wernigerode. It was designed by the architect Paul princely stolbergischen Kilburger, funded by Wernigeröder Hotelier Edward Lührmann and built between May 29 and September 1, 1902. The blocks were mainly from the quarry Konigsberg Schierke. In 1992, the tower was thoroughly renovated and made ​​accessible again.

The view from the tower extends to the northern Harz up to the Brocken, the Büchenberg and Harburg. Particularly striking is the view to the city and Wernigerode Castle.
