Kaiserhofstraße

The Kaiserhofstraße is a short street in downtown Frankfurt. The street is a side street off the Freßgass, and the main line is a pedestrian zone with, inter alia, perfumeries, fashion stores, local caterers and restaurants.

In the immediate vicinity are the Old Opera and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

The street was named after the coat of arms on the old Hellerhof, which was demolished in 1863.

In the literature, the Kaiserhofstraße by the novel Kaiserhofstraße 12 by Valentin Senger and its film adaptation by the Hessischer Rundfunk from 1980 is known. In the 19th century wine cellar of the father of Lino Salini was here meeting place of many artists from Frankfurt.
