Kaiserpfalz, Saxony-Anhalt
Imperial Palace is a municipality in Burgenland district, in Saxony -Anhalt. It was formed on 1 July 2009 from the voluntary association of municipalities Bucha, Memleben and Wohlmirstedt. The municipality belongs to the municipality of on the fin.
Community name
In the 10th century lay in the district Memleben a localized Palatinate still not sure of the Ottos, here urkundeten the first Saxon King of the East Frankish kingdom of Henry I and his son Otto I. Both died in Memleben. Otto II donated before or in the year 979 near the Palatinate, a Benedictine monastery, the remains of which now dot the village. The newly formed congregation was subsequently named.
