Kajsa Kling

Kajsa Kling ( born December 25, 1988 in Åre ) is a Swedish alpine skier. It starts mainly in the disciplines of downhill and Super -G.

Biography

Kling played their first FIS race in December 2003. European Cup they went in for the first time in December 2005 at the start. Her best result was a 14th place in the downhill in Crans -Montana on 11 March 2009, before the Second of the giant slalom at Crans- Montana for the first time drove 25 January 2010 on the podium. In the World Cup, she contested its first race in January 2007. In February, the Swede took part in the World Cup 2007 in her hometown of Åre in the Super- G and Downhill in part, in any race but reached the target. On 2 December 2007, she won the Super G in Lake Louise, ranked 28th first World Cup points.

In the 2008 /09 season they reached as 18th in the super combination of Tarvis on 20 February 2009 their first place in the top 20, the end of March 2009, she Swedish National Champion in downhill, super -G, giant slalom and parallel slalom was; a year earlier she had won the title in the super combined. Kling took part in the Winter Olympics in Vancouver and went short in the giant slalom at rank 26 on 6 March 2010, it reached number 14 in the departure of Crans -Montana her first top -15 result in the World Cup. Three days later she won both the European Cup downhill in Tarvisio, reaching the third place in the downhill standings. In April 2010, she won two more Swedish champion in Giant Slalom and Super -G.

In December 2010, Kling suffered in a fall in the giant slalom in Semmering severe ligament injuries in both knees, which is why they had to end the 2010/11 season prematurely. Due to complications they could not build on their previous performance level for long. In the season 2011/12 they classified only three times in the top 30 in the 2012/13 season twice. At the beginning of the 2013/14 season, a striking increase in performance was noticeable. After an 8th place on 7 December in the departure of Lake Louise, it achieved one day later with 7th place in the Super- G the best result of her career. A week later, she saw a further increase, as they drove in the Super- G in St. Moritz to second place and thus achieved the first podium result of her career.
