Kakskerta [ kɑkskɛrtɑ ] is an island in the Archipelago Sea off the southwest coast of Finland and a district of Turku. It lies approximately 9 kilometers south of the city center of Turku and has an area of 21 square kilometers. With only 633 inhabitants ( 2004), the island is sparsely populated and is a popular recreational area for the inhabitants of Turku dar. Kakskerta was incorporated in Turku in 1968. Previously, it had formed a separate community, which included the northern neighbor island Satava. On Kakskerta there is a built in 1765-1769 stone church and the classicist manor Brink Hall ( 1793).
