Kalabari tribe

The Kalabari are a people in Nigeria, which is also called Ijo, Ijaw or Eastern Ijaw.

In Nigeria, a population of about 325,000 Kalabari, in Ghana approximately 32,000.

The Kalabari belong together with the Kirike in the Okrika - Kalabari Ibani - ethnic group. They speak the Kalabari, an Ijo language from the language family of ijoiden languages.
