Kalckhoff Medal

Kalckhoff Medal is a literary award of the Federal German philatelists for special merits in the field of German philatelic literature.

This prize has been donated in honor of Franz Kalckhoff 1950 on the occasion of his ninetieth birthday in 1951 he himself was the first winner. On the medal itself a relief portrait is engraved by him in silver and it has a diameter of 50 millimeters. It is awarded every other year.
