Kale Heywet Word of Life Church

Kale Heywat (also: Kale Heywet ) means " words of life " and is from the work of inter-confessional SIM (Sudan Interior Mission ) emerged.

She is very close and the Baptists emerged also from the Mennonite Mission. Between 1927 and 1937, the SIM opened 16 centers. In the main, schools and hospitals were built and supported. When Italy occupied Ethiopia in 1937, all SIM missionaries were expelled. Approximately 75 baptized believers remained. After the expulsion of the Italians by the British in 1943 discovered the returning missionaries that over 100 new churches were formed and thousands of believers waiting for their baptism. Persecution by the Orthodox church and state in 1978 by the communists and the Mengistu regime could not prevent the growth of communities. The destroyed Bible schools could be rebuilt to this day all. In 1995 Kale Heywat Church had about 3780 communities with over 3 million baptized members.
