The Kalkkop Crater is an impact crater in South Africa. The crater is located on the territory of a private farm about 50 kilometers south of the town of Graaf Reinet in the Eastern Cape. Its name comes from two words from Afrikaans: " lime ", which means limestone, " kop " stands for head.

The impact took place about 250,000 years ago in the Pleistocene and instead produced a crater 640 meters in diameter and a few hundred meters depth, but today it is filled with sediments and some 88 meters deep. Only an eroded ring is visible on the surface.
